School of Nursing, Curtin Bunuru Graduation Ceremony 9. the last one, last night. where i decided to help out again, and .. i wasn't sure how this group was going to be like.

it's interesting that all the 3 ceremonies i attended had their own different vibe. not really the ceremony itself, but the vibes at the Alumni Festival area - the grads, their family and friends, and .. the volunteers too, as a collective.

Engineering (day 2), sure. i've been in the industry for 30 years now, including SG .. i totally know all the 1s and 0s.

DBE and the Creatives (day 7), i've hired and worked with many of their grads .. so all fun and games.

but not Nursing, no. sure there's the occasional fleeting interactions. but i've never really experienced this "group" in an "immersive" way before. so it really was a slightly new, and interesting experience for me.

anyways, it did feel kinda like a short night. the heat was back, but wasn't so bad. and i did stay till the very end to help the team pack up.

oh wait wait .. silly story. at the photo wall before the ceremony, i took photos of someone, who, at the back of my little head kept telling me she looks familiar. but it was only until the ceremony began that it hit me .. Elisabeth Moss!

well, obviously it's not her .. or is it?

so after she received her certificate and was walking back to her seat, i was like "oh, now i remember who you remind me of". she grinned and went "Handmaid's Tale!" .. and we both laughed.

congratulations to all the graduates .. and thank you to Curtin University Alumni for the opportunity to help out.

(update) found out "Elisabeth Moss" name .. it's Katie Jane Stuart.
