i got into reading fiction books again this year, for my "me time" .. after so many years of TV and comics (and graphic novels).
i had watched, and loved, Silo S1, and it made me want to read the books. it was the same when i first watch The Expanse, but somehow .. i did not enjoy my reading then, maybe because i was still always so busy (and i hate reading only a few pages a day, cos well, the flow is just not there)
but yeah. i bought the Silo books, read them all (Book 2 was a slog though), really enjoyed myself, and started joining the Bookthreads && Bookstagram community for recommendations. was pointed to ACOTAR and TOG, read them, still enjoyed myself, but decided that books sold in Perth are overpriced, so .. i joined the library.
next thing i know, i've now read 90 books to date, and i have no plans of slowing down just yet.
so here's my top 3 favourite books i've read, that i totally recommend (they're more on the humour side of reads)
The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells
Starter Villain by John Scalzi
The Rook by Daniel O'Malley
