DDD Perth 2025 volunteer gig was pretty awesome .. mainly because there was quite a few of my former padawans in attendance, along with the many other familiar faces. also this year, more people stopped to talk to me and go "you may not know me, but i do enjoy your (silly) LinkedIn posts"

(aside) just so everyone is aware .. i tend not to always follow back cos i have this thing where i never want to hit 500 connections. or even, hit close to it. dunno. that's just how my brain works. like seriously, it's not you, it's me.

anyways.

morning, i decided to stand out front up the stairs to usher everyone in. it was cold, and i simply wanted to be a bit more mobile (aka animated).

after lunch, it was my first time as a room coordinator. it wasn't a disaster, but i don't think i did that great of a job. i did, however, continued my animated self in trying to spruik the room i was looking after before each of the 3 talks i did.

and i gotta be honest. the moment i sat down after my shift .. was when i really felt my age. so i left early.

but yeah. pretty good day today. and again .. it really was good to see all the familiar faces, and meeting all you new ones. and especially, getting to work alongside all you other volunteers.

i heart you all. and .. i'm off bed (after some light reading)
