WADSIH Health Hackathon weekend Sunday .. where i managed to snap only a selfie, a group selfie, and uhm, the afternoon tea.

while there's the grand finale to go (8 teams made it through) .. the one thing i'm happy about, was to see some "distant padawans" participating because i mentioned it to them. and i admit, i was kinda worried initially when i saw them this weekend cos i was like "what if they don't enjoy it". but .. they did, and i felt something like relief (i suppose).

apart from "gauging" your skill level against your fellow industry colleagues .. i always advice them to attend such events with a networking mindset too, and to take it as an opportunity to showcase yourself - show more of who you are as a person, and not necessarily the skills.

you will always have someone like me (well maybe not these days) "identifying talent" amongst the crowd .. sorta like a "pre-interview" if you must. i want to see the real you, how you work in a team, how you deal with other people, how helpful and respectable you are, etc. cos i believe in hiring the person (not just the skills).

but anyways .. i'm tired. i wanted to write about today's happenings, but somehow my writing flow deviated to the above. looking forward to the grand finale, and i hope all who participated, especially the first timers, had a good time this hackathon weekend!
