my current library holds. all are new books on-order which have arrived (and waiting for my turn in the queue) or will be arriving. but the thing is, i suspect some on this list will be coming in (right about soon) at the same time. meaning, for the next few weeks, i won't "have time" to read my own TBR books at home .. which is really starting to pile up.
also, yeah. i take pride in trying to be the first for all new books (of the type and genres that i read). i'm constantly on the library app searching for upcoming titles i suspect the library will order, to quickly place a hold (if it's available). but .. as you can see from the list, there can be quite a competition for some books like Alan Moore's Great When and Neal Asher's Dark Diamond (my original queue was 5)
and then there's books like Drop Of Corruption .. where, i uhm, already have a copy at home (sitting next to Tainted Cup, obviously), but hey, i don't want to break it in until it's time for a re-read - hence the late queue.
also. and more importantly .. go support your local library!
oh. side note. i have been fighting the temptation to get into special editions and sprayed edges. being a recovering "comic floppies and variant covers" addict has helped, but .. it's getting harder and harder to resist.
anyways. i'm still looking for a silent bookclub (near me) where we regularly meet up not to talk about books, but do fugg all and just read our own books. well, maybe the occasional small talk. anyone wanna start one?
